Nmblr Inspire Step 2: Moments That Matter
‘Moments that matter’ are the pivotal points in the patient journey where solving a problem or seizing an opportunity can drive meaningful improvements - whether for patient outcomes, patient satisfaction, healthcare professional experience, or healthcare costs.
By identifying and prioritising these moments, you:
- Maximise your impact: Direct your efforts to the areas with the highest potential for positive change.
- Align your team: Build consensus around what matters most, so everyone moves forward with shared priorities.
- Stay agile: Create a flexible roadmap that can adapt as new information or changes arise.
Recognising the moments that matter transforms insights into action, ensuring your work truly makes a difference.
What Happens in This Step?
You will see a summary - organised by each area of impact - listing all the problems and opportunities identified in Step 1. These represent your “menu of choices” for where to invest your efforts.
For Each Area of Impact (e.g., Patient Outcomes, Patient Satisfaction, HCP Satisfaction, Healthcare Costs):
- Review the List: Examine all the problems and opportunities captured for each area.
- Team Discussion: Collaborate as a team to:
- Discuss the merits and potential of each problem or opportunity.
- Consider which ones align best with your goals and resources.
- Capture any new observations or fresh insights that emerge during your discussion.
- Prioritise: Decide which problems or opportunities you will invest in to create the desired impact. These become your 'moments that matter'.
- Document Decisions: Clearly record which moments you’ve chosen to focus on and why (i.e. the rationale).
How to Collaborate Effectively
- Open Dialogue: Encourage everyone to share their perspectives and challenge assumptions.
- Capture Everything: The lead should document not only the final decisions but also any interesting or unexpected observations that come up.
- Stay Focused: Keep the discussion centred on where you can make the most significant impact.
When to Move On
Once your team has aligned around the key problems and opportunities - the moments that matter - you’re ready to move to the final step: capturing the key insights revealed through this process.
Tip: Revisit your chosen moments regularly. As your understanding deepens or as the environment changes, you may discover new priorities or opportunities.
